About Us
Fantastic Queensland is managed by volunteer contributors. Our mission is to foster the growth and recognition of imaginative fiction across all formats—novels, digital media, cinema, television, interactive games, and beyond. Established by writers from Vision, a long-standing collective of imaginative fiction authors based in Brisbane, we're committed to strengthening the global profile of Australian imaginative fiction creators and artists.
Our approach encompasses several key objectives:
- To offer pathways enabling regional creators to achieve world-class excellence (See: Clarion South and EnVision).
- To recognise the achievements of Australian authors and creative professionals nationwide (See: Aurealis Awards)
- To support the creation of new publishing venues and professional opportunities for writers to build visibility and credibility (See: Magazine and Writing for Games)
- To foster community spirit among imaginative fiction enthusiasts worldwide, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration across regions (See: Conjure)
